hit up cherryram if you head out this way. He'll take you to some dunes out in Oregon that he's been on. It is hella fun driving down the beach out here on the pacific, just make sure you dont go past those "no drive" barriers or its a hefty *** fine.
I must have peanut butter in m,y eyes. Where the f^%k is the price? Otherwise great thread. sounds like a great time. I hope I get the same thrill in carlisle in july btw.
which spartan are you going with?? for me, 6200 is too high for my bigass truck, i want something that makes more power down low.
did i mention this shop does CMR tunes for dodge?
someday i'll be cammed...
I have the regular spartan (with a slight tweak) sitting on a shelf in my garage right now waiting to go in when I get some more funds in. I generally see 2800-5000rpms daily when driving around town unless Im having one of those slow days so the cam is right where my powerband is at.

Yeah, you could totally come out my way, the Oregon dunes in florence are actually pretty famous! Ive been out there many a time. If you do come out here, and you want to have a real good time, come out during dunefest! 1000's of people out there just going crazy, you see some of the coolest stuff happening. Then if you want to hit some good mud soon after I know of some gnarly mud out here thats not so deep that you would feel uncomfortable, but sticky enough you that you would really get to test how well your truck does off road
Forgive me is this is naive but isn't 265 pretty low. Considering the '03 Hemi came with 345 HP new that would mean a depreciation of 80 HP in 7 years, so a little over 10 HP a year. That to me seems like an excessive amount of loss.
It also worries me a little considering i've got an '04 4.7L so would that mean rather than the 235 HP when new its only pushing about 175 HP now? I understand that the engine is naturally going to loss power over time but that to me just seems like an abnormally high amount of loss. Anyone have any additional info. on HP loss, or any other experience with power loss on these trucks?

345 is the crank horsepower (245 to the wheels). 265 as tested is to the wheels, so its around 20hp increase. You'll never see a manufacturer give rwhp because the number is lower, and you'll never see a dyno give crank horsepower because its not accurate.

That makes sense, I wasn't considering crank and rwhp. that eases my mind a lot in a dumb kind of way .
