Cool Remote start question

I just go my remote start and alarm installed (autopage rs-730) and now i have a question. When you guys that have it start your trucks, does the a/c compressor turn on? It looks like my switch doesnt get power until the key is in run. The blower motor blows without the key, but the button to tell the a/c comp to kick on doesnt get power. Any ideas? Thanks guys

Take it back to the installer..they didn't get something hooked up right...probably a accessory wire needs to be engaged...My viper 5901 powers everything up!! If it is powering the fan, then it should be able to power the a/c as well....

There are several ignition wires underneath the column. Each has their own feed for the blower, A/C, and starter. If you do not follow the starter directions and splice them together, your truck may not even be charging when you use your remote. I know I had to do something of that nature when i installed my truck alarm (I think I had to connect just 2 wires together) I DO NOT remember what they are, but I can certainly go back out and look at the install guide that was vehicle specific.
I had to do the same for my Explorer too.

You look into it on your end and I'll do the same on mine.

rbeard and dirtydog have it right. There are several accessory wires and each one needs to be powered in order to turn something on. I went through this with mine also.

I see in the install manual where its supposed to be hooked into, just need to know which wire it is. It looks like a quick fix

go over to www.the12volt.com and click on Vehicle wiring and then choose Dodge and your year and go to your truck and you can find the wiring there

So i fixed it, heres what i did. I checked one of the factory service manuals someone posted up here a while back. I saw that the connector for the a/c switch has a grey/pink wire that runs to the ignition switch, so i hooked that up to the acc/heater wire on the alarm and wha la! Thanks guys for pointing me in the right direction, you guys are great!

Did that grey/pink wire have juice going to it before you hooked it up? My remote start doesn't activate the compressor either, but turns the blower on. The only grey/pink wire I can find is already hot without the ignition being on. My truck is a 2004 4.7L.
