Default Blower motor?

Today I was driving with the A/C on and a burning smell started coming out of the air vents. Then a couple miles later the fan qiut blowing all together. I've searched the threads on this and there's alot of blower motor issues but does this sound like the motor is toast? Thanks for any help!

Best thing to do is pull the blower motor and hotwire it with 12v to see if it works or not.

I'm gonna jump the motor as soon as I get a chance to make sure it still works. I pulled it out and it looks, feels and smells fine. I also pulled out what I believe is a resistor right next to it. I've read about solder contacts coming loose and they all seem ok.

Older cars used to have a few big resistors and that is what controlled the different speed the fan would ran at.

It was the blower motor. It's all good now. Thanks for the replies!
