Keeping tire inside wheel well?
i dont have enough articulation for my liking with the 35's and a 6" suspension lift. problem is, i still barely fit in the garage by less than an inch. I have a hunch that the added tread depth of the new tires will put me over the edge and i wont fit in the garage anymore. IF that happens, you can bet i'll be going higher with the truck to get more articulation.
long story short, theres no point in fitting 35's if you cant use them. they're much worse on gas, harder on the driveline/suspension components, and just a pain in the butt. the only plus side is how they look. I think you'll actually get a better look (not to mention less wear and tear/gas used) by going 33's.

i love my 33's. perfect for a leveled truck... but if you dont get enough backspacing or wheel spacers for the stock rims you will not even be able to mount a 12.50" wide tire in the front , the spindle will prevent fitment.
yea I've got aftermarket 17x9s w/ Backspace = 4.75 in. and Offset = -6mm. I've got 285/70/17s and my tires still stick out a little so it just wont be possible to not stick out with a 12.5 tire. I'm happy with my 33s and I'm pretty sure I'll stick with 33s. I have no desire to lift an IFS truck to drive down the freeway with so my cheaper 33s will work great for me

with my tread I measured them at 32.7 and with my side lugs came out to 11.4 wide. Not sure how your 285s measured so small, what brand were they? My old 265 suckyears on the 20s came out to 32.5 tall and 10.4 wide.
or even a 35 11 I have seen the SSRs but they have 35 10.50 I feel like they will look more like a pizza cutter and I like the width of my 285s I just want taller tires. Also I do want a MT I just want something that is decent on the street. I drive mine nore about 50 50 city/country back roads.

they were bridgestone dueler a/t revo's
They make a tire that does just that, it's called an all terrain. M/T is not gonna handle on road like a freakin track tire, get some A/T's cuz like Hammer said with 35"s your gonna be a pavement queen anyway, no articulation.
