Default Our new rig!

This is our new (to us) 5th wheel. It's a 25' Hitchhiker II. Parents-in-law got too old for it so they said we could have it. Havent put her on the scales yet but archives say 2000 model dry weight is 8000lbs. This is a 1994, and it is spotless on the inside. The exterior needs a good wash and wax. She has a few battle scars from mom backing her in tight spots (she does everything because dad had a big stoke 15 yrs ago). Pulls like a champ. let off the brakes and she rolls with just idle. on the highway @ 65 mph she turns 2300 rpm. We did pull over Siskiyou Summit which is the highest elevation on I-5 (4310). Right lane 55 mph, 2-4 gear, highest rpm was 42-4400. Plenty of throttle left. didn't get goosey with it but there is plenty there. No performance mods on this truck. I must say this new Hemi is strong. I WILL NOT TALK ABOUT MPG! i traded a '07 VW passat for this truck. Top pics is in Weed CA west of Mt Shasta, truck pulled in while walking to take pic. Bottom is our first night on the road south of Redding Ca on the Sacremento River. Wine country today.

Nice looking set-up. Can't wait for my kids to get big enough to take camping.
