Just freshened up on the manual and found this funny
I was reading up on the oil section of the manual and found it funny that Schedule "B" says that if anything applies you should follow it and if none of the features applies then you should follow schedule "A" but it seemed like all of the "B" schedule criteria contradicted themselves so that everyone would be in schedule "B". I read more and instantly figured out why, "If ANY of these apply to you then change your engine oil every 3,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first."
Maybe it is just me but this kind of made me laugh a little bit not because of the 3,000 mile changes but because of the 3 month interval. To give Dodge credit though in the next block they say, "Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first" so maybe that is Dodge's way of giving an interval for synthetics without completely endorsing them. Don't know, just a theory.

no its saying change it every 3k or 3 months, and not to go longer than 6k or 6 months. they arent saying wait that long, they're saying DONT wait that long. obviously this only applies to conventional
Common sense tells you what to do. not a do goody service manual.I change mine every 5k with synthetics. sooner if I work the motor more than usual. Thats with everything I run btw. I can see the humor in it thou.
