Default Need opinion on lift...

I did some research on the topic, but i wanted to get some updated reviews on what i plan on doing for my new 1500 RC 4x4 Hemi (27k out the door including tax etc.).

I plan on doing the truxxx leveling kit, but i am not sure if that just lifts the front of if it has blocks or something to lift the back as well. I am under the impression that it just lifts the front. That being said, do i just need longer shocks for the front? If so, what size shocks and which do you recommend?

I also plan on running larger tires, 33's most likely. Is it neccessary to regear? I can't seem to find any tires in the size of 33x12.5x17, what metric size should i be looking at? Do i need to buy new wheels to replace the stock 17" rims? Or will they run fine for my application.

Thanks

I thought it was just for the front as it is a leveling system and not an all around lift. My 2wd has a noticable slope towards the front and would like to lift the front by about 2" to make it more level. Let us know what you get and send some pics.

The truxx is just for the front. You should be able to run the 33s without any lift. The optional 20 in wheel package comes with 33 in tires from the factory. If you have the 17x8 rims you should be able to run those tires. As for regearing, it depends on what you have and what you expect for performance. If you already have 31 in tires the change to 33s will have a slight impact on low end, but probably not significant even if you have the 3.55 gears. If you have the 3.92, even better.

I'm pretty sure your 2wd has coil springs instead of torsion bars. You should only need spacers to level the front.

what size metric tires should i be looking at for 17" rims that would equal 33" and would fit nicely on the stock wheels?

285/70/17 should be close to a 33" tire. Look at tirerack.com under specs. I think it is like 32.7" or so. Stock 265/70/17 is like a 32" tire? Close enough for government work.
