Bilstiens in my o6 are adjustable to mount the spring , making them longer in affect. I dunno if that helps

i believe rancho makes a quicklift strut as well. look into that. but to the best of my knowledge, bilstein and rancho are the only two. the bilsteins are awesome. ive put a few on buddie's trucks

i did the install on a couple of tacomas. they have the option of 1", 2" or 2.5". just take the old strut out, take the spring off it, put the spring on the new strut (with the clip in place for desired amount of lift) and reinstall. shouldnt take more than 2-4 hours.

No. Bilstein Lift struts give a maximum height of 2". The Rancho Quicklifts offer up to 2.5" lift because they have an adjustable control for soft-firm. These types utilize spring preload to achieve the height. The higher you go , the more preload and it gets bouncy. So I assume that's why Rancho does it...??? Plus, 2.5" looks like the front is higher than the back, but then some look perfectly level which why you get incrimental adjustments every 1/2" too.
