The key is to remove ALL signs of rust and then to roughen up the bed for good adhesion.
I've done the hard plastic bed liners, the professional spray-ins and the roll it on yourself ones in previous trucks. I decided to do a BedRug in this one right after I bought this truck new off the lot. I won't be doing anything else in the future. Just as durable as a liner, but soft on the knees and most importantly, I don't break fishing rods or reels anymore from the damn trolling motor battery or small outboard slamming into them when I'm fishing! Stuff stays in place on that rug...

I have LINE-X and glad I had it professionally done, but if I knew the jokes of "technicians" they had, I would have had done RhinoLining. I've taken it back twice, once for cracking and once for a touch up because a corner of something went through to the metal of the truck bed. They even down right refused to take care of the overspray on my truck. When I had this done my truck was 2 weeks old with less than 100 miles on her. I ended up going to corporate and I was refunded $200. They're "business" has since went out of business, but I was told "Not to worry because I still have a lifetime warranty".....What ever
