My truck ran faster with the exhaust dumped under the cab than with my full magnaflow exhaust. That includes 60ft 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile.

i got a magnaflow on mine and it sounds pristine, i personally dont think you can get a better sound when you punch it, but still not bad when your freeway driving

It amazes me how many people say you LOSE torque by increasing airflow (efficiency). If you people ever looked at a dyno, you'd see that you actually gain torque (and HP) by decreasing restriction (backpressure).

The perception of gained torque is because backpressure moves the torque curve lower in the rpm band.

I'm not saying that it's bad to have backpressure and a little extra oomph at real low rmps, but the truth of the matter is that over-all, torque is lost...

That's what people mean by "lost" torque. They mean there is less available to get the truck moving. Try towing with no cats and straight exhaust, you'll be painfully aware of it. No cats is a track mod, not a street mod.

Most people don't need/use a lot of torque after 3000 rpms.
