Give me a week until I get the roll pan installed. The painted bumper doesn't look good. And besides it sits low enough you can't really see the Caltracs. As for 4wd being lowered, check this sweet ride. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2299721

The only thing that went through my mind is she WANTS something and it's probably big. If she's giving you suggestions about something she calls a "money pit" essentially telling you to do a mod, I would ask her what it is she wants. 2 kids and an ex tells me all signs point to a larger purpose. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Drop shackles will bring it down some and removing the O/L won't hurt anything. But please don't paint those beautiful wheels.. Sell'm, trade'm, give'm away, but don't paint them... my 2 cents.

When I made my comment earlier to lower, I didn't see the 4x4 in your signature and just was assuming single cab=2wd, so ya it makes the decision tough, IMO raising the front on 4wd is the best. The way your trucks sitting you could get away with a 2" drop and if you don't like it you haven't forked out $200.00. I don't beleive big bushwacker flares would do your truck justice but if your new rims stick out a bit then some Painted flares might look Ok. If you end up selling your factory rims let me know, I live near the Hat. Good Luck.
