Woe is me. I've been de-trucked.

If there is a silver lining; by the time the lease is up there will likely be hybrid or fuel-cell trucks more generally available. The best combination of DD and being able to actually do truck stuff. In the meantime, I've "stopped the loss" on the truck payments and can put the savings aside for a down payment on whatever happens next.
A hybrid truck? I'd rather take a bullet in the leg. Seriously.

If the power and the torque are there? Electric beats the pants off anything else for torque. Full torque starts essentially at 0 RPM.

The Tesla Roadster runs about 300lb/ft of torque and peaks about 400hp, and it's a car.

Yup. Give it a couple of years to work on the bugs/surprises and for the price to come down a bit...

Telsa are sweet, but if you use the radio you loose some hp, AC, loose hp, heaven forbid SUBS, loose Hp.

Thats the only problem that I see with them.

I can see two more big problems with an electric truck. One the distance it can cover in a day. Which can be a major problem with a truck. And two the cost of battery replacement. I doubt that these batteries will cost what our present truck batteries cost. My personal feeling that electric vehicle are nothing short of a dumb idea.

i would rather pay for gas and my very low MPGS then to drive a hybrid truck that sounds like $hit, in my opinion.. one of the best things about drivin a dodge or any truck with a V8 is the great sound with a good exhaust

I don't care if the power/tq are there. I'll take horrible mpg and a powerful shaking v8 over some electric crap any day. Still can't believe you actually bought a prius.

This thread is pretty ignorant. How I love brand specific forums...

Rojhan sorry to see your truck go but what you did makes sense. There is no point in paying for something that you do not use so by paying for something that you use to do the same job that is more efficient he can divert his money else where. And to all those who are but hurt about him driving a Jap car who cares. What does Dodge/Chrysler have to bring to the table that even remotely competes with european, import or even other domestics.
