Was able to put on rack and jack rear end up and good use of stethoscope. The sounds coming from the front of rear diff. Since the driveshaft is hollow, sound was traveling everywhere. I'll be removing driveshaft, changing transmission extension housing seal while out and its a little damp. Also checking u-joints, might even change them out an replace with new ones w/grease fittings. Remove diff cover and yoke to check front of diff to see if pinion gear or any gear has any stress fractures. When all said and done Lucas diff lube is all thats going in-no mixture.

I didn't realize how much trouble it would take to do a front bearing in differential. But that wasnt it. It was the u joints that were rusted out WOW. Thanks guys Only problem I couldnt get them out so I let the dealer do it. For a very reasonable price. Running smooth like a sewing machine
