more serious note -that huge oil spill is going to make gas prices sky rocket.

 

Im not even going to touch that first part as it will result in my ban. That pipe has been leaking for weeks and gas prices havent moved either.

 

Was a story on my local news not long ago, where they interviewed some retired high end VP with one of the major gas companies who was touring the nation giving speeches, mostly at colleges. He claims that if the oil companies GAVE AWAY gasoline, at current consumption, they could do so for five and a half months, charging their regular prices for the remaining six and a half months and STILL TURN A PROFIT!!!
Also, he claims that in the 70's oil was discovered of the norther shelf of Alaska, an estimated twelve times that which exists in the middle east. At the time, all the oil companies bought up the rights to drill it and have refused to do so, as the flood of oil into the market would drive down prices (and profits) to around 15-20% of what they currently are...

 

I can believe that Hammer. It sounds American.

 

Illegal here to sell non-blended gasoline unless its race fuel or marine fuel. It's simply illegal to operate an automobile on public roads here with straight gas. It could be worse, at least they still let us use gas...for now.
