Default New here & dual exhaust question

Found the forum and have been reading through it. Like all the good info here. Looks like a place for solving all those little quirks we tend to have with our trucks now and again.

I'm from the Birmingham, Alabama area and am looking to run dual exhaust on my '08 Ram 1500 4.7. Anyone here from my area willing to share a good shop with good pricing/credibility?

Welcome to DF! You should be able to find plenty of info here about several mods with some searching. The first company that comes to mind for a dual exhaust is www.exhaustdepot.com They have a mandrel bent system that is 2.5", really sized for a hemi, but would be a good system as I see it. You will want to get an X pipe to even pressures and increase hp...

If you are in Birmingham, there is a shop called Rayney Exhaust in Bronwood GA that will do whatever you want and even drop the cats if you want.

Blake, like your setup. So, around $300 for installation plus around $50 for the extreme, right? Sounds doable. My concern is goofing up my mpg, which is around 18 at the moment. Majority of my driving is interstate is why. So add to that, concern over loss of HP as well and you have me wondering where to start.

There is an exhaust shop just south of town that I found. After the holiday is over I'm going to give them a call to see what I can find out from them on my truck. Will let you guys know what I learn then.
