Yeah mine did that for a bit afterwards, if there is any metal flakes/shavings that are in the header or pipe they burn up.Also the outer coating may be cooking a bit if its the first time they have been ran.

truckin might be right, he prolly is. i put LT headers on my camaro and didnt heat wrap a few close wires high enough and i burnt thru them.

That is true too, check some of the wiring around the headers and make sure they are not being burned. I guess it depends on the smell, if its a burning metal smell its more than likely the headers heating up, if its a burning rubber/plastic smell check the wiring.

Will do, I'm gonna pull the wheels and wheel well liners and eyeball all the wires and such and make sure none of it is too close to the headers when I check the bolts. Thanks for the advice.
