Memorial Day 30K Tune Up Weekend
Well I got my 30K service done this weekend. I was ~100 shy of the 30k mark, but I figured it was a good time to get it done.
First was the throttle body cleaning:
Before:

After:

After the throttle body cleaning, I got the plugs changed. To make things easier on myself, I went through the wheel wells.

All in all it wasn't that bad. It was time consuming mostly due to the fact that this was my first go around with plugs on the HEMI and I wanted to make sure that I took my time and got everything right. The KD plug sockets worked like a champ. The medium length was just the right length to clear the neighboring coil pack, and I had no trouble getting to the back two cyl on the driver side. I only had to use my flex head socket on the far back cly on the drivers side, no U-Joints were needed throughout the entire change.
KD plug sockets:

Old Plugs (they needed changed):

After plugs, I moved onto the Diff, trans, transfer case, and front diff.
All went smooth with the fluid swaps. No surprises when opening the rear diff. Minimal metal sludge and no flakes chips or retainer clips.

During the fluid swaps I installed my Mag-Hytec diff cover and trans pan, and they are very nice, high quality parts.
Diff Cover:

Trans Pan:
All in all, it wasn't too bad. It took about 4.5 Hours for the throttle body and plug change on Saturday, and another 4.5 Hours for the fluid swaps on Monday.
All of the fluids are valvoline, as it was towards the cheaper end of the spectrum, and still meets all of the specs. All together, I did the service myself, with upgrades, and several tool purchases that I needed to complete the job and still ended up $300+ cheaper then what the stealership wanted for the work.
While I was under the truck, I decided to snap a quick pic of my Magnaflow Y pipe too.
