Can I fit a 37" toyo open country MT on this?
Not sure if this pic will work...

Oh, looks like it did I hope... lol
This is my stock wheel I have. I have been looking for specs on it but can't find any. I.e. Backspacing and offset...
I want to put a 37x13.5x17 Toyo Open Country M/T on it... wondering if there will be any problems with doing that...
I do plan to get a lift before... just want to know about wearing problems or fitting the tire to the rim problems... if any. or if I might need some wheel spacers or anything like that. plan to get a 6 inch lift kit, which says it will fit 37x12.5x17
That is off an inch... should I worry about that?
Thanks for your input

factory mega rims are 9.5 wide so no a 13.5 tire will not fit . 11 is max on a stock rim to ride safe without popping off the bead . and you will need at least 1.5 inch spacers . It will be in your best intreast just to get new rims . spacers on a 8 lug truck are $$ and not safe for these bigger trucks .
and FYI all you need to clear 37-12.5-20 is a 4 inch lift . with no rub i speak from experiance

I somehow forgot to put this... but the Rims I have (stock ones) are 17x8. Not sure how I forgot to put that lol.
So, what I get from this is no.. I couldn't make this work... lol. What would you recommend (width wise) for a rim to fit the 13.5 width that the Toyo Open Country M/T's come with in a 37" tire? I think I wanna stay with the smaller rim more tire kinda idea.. But... I dunno..
I'm definately set on this tire though.
Are you running 37's on a 4 inch lift then? Does the no rub stay with off-road use? Is it a specific 4" lift kit or will any 4" lift work?
I was hoping to get away with not replacing the rims... but if it's not gonna work then it's not gonna work
Thanks for your help btw RamHunter

So I should maybe stick with the 6" lift idea then?
how about the lift I was looking at, it says it recommends 37x12.5 and the tire I want to get is 37x13.5
Do I need to worry about the 1 inch differance? will that extra inch cause rubbing?

+1 mine even rubs just a lil bit offraoding at full lock ( and i could fit 35s under mine easy, running 33.9), but anywhere else no problems, i would go with a 6" lift

there is a big difference in stock suspension from a 1500 IFS and 2500 SFA .
A 4" lift on a SFA is the same height as a guy with a 1500 IFS going 6" of lift .
And i have no rub and full articulation , but the truck is not a hill climber its to dam big , but like frog said going around the farm ect it works great .
Op in my opinion i would go 37-12.5 any wider and you will deffinetly need flairs . and with the 37 you will need gears bottom line . heavy truck with heavy tires = go slow need to get gears

ya i'm planning to get 4.56 gears after. I currently have 3.73 gears, so... they should get me around okish for a little bit until i upgrade.
The tire I want to get are Toyo Open country M/T's and they only come in 37x13.5x17
I haven't done all the calculations to see if they come in a similar size that are listed as... like... 315/75/17 or something.. (not saying those are 37's just pulled random numbers cause I can't remember what the sizing is called lol)
I'll take a look when I get a chance to.
I do have IFS, what kind of lift should I go with then? I found a top gun customz lift for a 2500 for 6" that is .. reasonably priced. Would that not work?
Thanks for your help guys.
