I dont see why it wouldnt work.

A second battery is just a band-aid. What you need is a higher output alternator. the only reason a second battery helps is to keep the bumpin going longer if the alternator cant keep up. Also, you'll need to get two batteries at the same time. If you have one older battery and new one, the charge/discharge cycle goes way out of whack.

No you don't want a new battery, you want power cell such as a Kinetik (http://www.kinetikaudio.com/2009/default.asp). If you buy a small enough one, which I assume you do not need a big one or really on at all since you are pushing 10"s (not ******* you just saying) so the stock box should be able to hold it. I would say go for it and try it. You may decide just to buy one on ebay for just $62 with filters. I love how they look and I want to put one on mine sometime too.

No a cap really doesnt work very well, just like a very small battery. A power cell holds a lot more power and is designed to take pretty much all the stress off of your battery and alternator. Basically used only by hardcore db draggers but it can be helpful to the common folk. Personally I pull around 1000- 1200 watts for my subs on a daily basis and have never noticed my lights dimming or anything like that and my battery stays charged so I really think Brado would be wasting his money on a new battery to power two shallow mount 10"s but thats just me. I mean my buddy runs four 18"s in his range rover and he has a few power cells, that I understand but for two 10"s and most of the time two 12"s there really is no need for all the extra add ons. That being said I would put a tool box or something in there like the old chargers had.

Yes they make them for the 4.7L: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...item53e127851d. I want the blue filters. The only problem with making your own is the price of the filters. This comes with two (I know probably crappy) filters already and the t-pipe so there is no real "work" on my part, plus again you pay $30 for the pvc and fittings then maybe $25 a filter and by that point you might as well buy the ebay one, plus imo the chrome would look better under the hood than pvc.
