Ignition feeling gummy??

Default Ignition feeling gummy??

Hey guys, been a long time since I have posted on here... I have an 06 Dodge Ram Hemi, 4wd and just recently my ignition has started feeling gummy, or sloppy may be a better word. Last night I started it, and went to roll down my window, and nothing... I found that the key was turned to far in the ignition, backed it off just a little bit ( as if I was shutting the truck off), and my window went right down. Any ideas?? I have owned the truck for not quite a year, and until recently never knew that my ignition key (the only key I have) won't unlock the drivers door. Wonder if this isn't the first ignition replacement possibly?

How many Miles? I replaced mine at 99,000 because it would not go back into accessory power. The dealer blamed it on my keyring, which has all of the company truck keys on it and weighs about 1/2 lb. They are probably right. They still covered it under warranty.

Yeah it sounds like you need to change out the ign switch to me. Its not hard to do.
