Default seatbelt chime

I always wear my seatbelt when driving but once in awhile I just move it around in the driveway or around in a parking lot, whatever and the chime will sound, being annoying as hell. I've tried to unplug each harness under the driver seat (including main one to the seatbelt catch.

Does anyone know how to disengage this?

Thanks
Chris

I dont know what I did wrong, but I tried it and it doesnt work for me.

Got in, shut door, seatbelt on, start truck.
unbuckle, buckle
unbuckle, buckle
unbuckle, buckle
turn off truck

It chimed once each time I took the seatbelt out, but not when I got done. Any suggestions?

i think you only have to turn the ignition to the on position but not start the truck.

look in your owners manual its in there with a few other combinations to turn different features on and off

From page 44 of the 05 owners man.

1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF position and buckle drivers seat belt.
2. Start engine and wait for the seat belt warning light to turn off
3. within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then rebuckle the drivers seat belt 3 times within 10 seconds, ending with the seatbelt buckled
4. turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to signify that you have sucessfully completed the programming.

Worked for me..

Thanks, I'll have to give it a try when thewife gets back w/ it. I didn't even think about the owners manual (guys dont like reading manuals and instructions).
