Tranny slip
I just bought my Ram around 2 months ago from a dealer and all was well but then today the transmission slipped from drive into neutral. I'm not too sure what to make of it and whether I should be worried or not. Here are the specs:
2007 Ram 1500 2x2 6 cyl
74k miles
The transmission fluid looks like it was changed at the dealer because it looks like new.
After owning a Crown Vic for many years I noticed that my Ram doesn't always shift smoothly like my Vic but not having owned a truck for the last 30 years I didn't know if that was normal or not.
If it should need a rebuild, what ballpark am I looking at dollar wise?

Being you just bought it two months ago, I would go back to the dealer and complain. There is no reason you should be having to replace the trans that soon.
As for price, you need to look at some manufactured trans locally of online or call some local trans shops to you for their pricing.
