Default Squealing noise!!?

This is going to be hard to try and diagnose but i'm going to post it anyway for some ideas that I may have overlooked. For starters my brakes would squeal like hell everytime I stopped, whether I was coasting to a stop or slamming on the brakes. The rotors are relatively new but past broken in, i replaced the brakes with wagners thermoquiets or whatever they are in hopes that they work but they are still loud. Issue 2: I have a HORRIBLE noise that is bugging the heck out of me!! The noise is a slight metal on metal rubbing, almost like a dust shield is catching on the rotor but its not. I've checked everything and no signs of wear or metal/metal contact. I can hear it on both sides when I drive by bridges or walls and I thought i could live past it when i found no signs but this is killing me... Possibly the calipers dragging? Any ideas???

I also had brake quiet on the old pads, greased the clips, pulled the pins from the calipers and cleaned/ re greased them so they should be sliding well, and also replaced both front wheel bearings.

the first reply is right on the money, you loaded a dry caliper, get antisqueel and pull the brakes off and put it on the backside of the pads facing the caliper, and always grease the slides. when you pull the tires off you should beable to tell if a brake is hanging up.
