Default 06 Dodge ram 5.7 electrical problems

I have a 06 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi, and I was putting in a new stereo headunit when I came across some serious electrical issues. I had the battery disconnected while pulling the old radio and installing the new one. So the new stereo is in and I reconnect the battery, now I have the SERV 4wd, ABS, check engine, airbag light on the dash, and the truck is stuck in limp mode. Put the old radio back in and of course the damage was done, took it to the dealership and they don't know what the problem is. Help Please!

sounds like you had a major wire mix up. Double check your connections. if you find any where wrong what were they? After that I would pull and check fuses. Do another battery reset.

We need more details. what happened when u hooked the radio up? sparks fire? nothing? ect...

Nope no wiring mix up (not that I can see), even had a couple buddies check it over. I checked all the fuses, they were good.

As for the radio, nothing happened when I hooked it up. It worked fine, powered up, turned on the radio, all the speakers worked.

Oh and I tried pulling the neg on the battery to reset, no luck.

I have the REF radio in the truck, and with that only have the 22 pin connection back there, pretty simple (or so I thought) to wire up with the new wiring harness.

IDK man but if you take it to the dealer, please let us know what they say or find.

So it's at the dealership and they think it's the TIPM, and possibly the ABS module. Anybody think this sounds right, and why it may have failed?

looks like it'll be about a 1000 bucks installed for the TIPM.

When you guys wire up your new hu's do you ground the hu with the factory ground in the harness, or to the chassis, or is there an issue with grounding to both the harness and the chassis together.
