Default Ok I need your advice!

So after about a month I finally got my truck to the shop to fix the transmisson, well I have a rebuilt one in now. I have a 1500 hemi and I have the hypertech max energy econ. I talked to them about it and they said since it changes the shift points this might have been the problem. Has anyone had a problem with their hypertech tuner? I miss the slight performance gain I got from the tuner. I returned my truck back to stock but want to put it back on. I do kinda race it sometime. Should I say off the gas if I decide to program my truck back?

Does your hypertech change the shift points all the time? or just under wide open throttle?

i was gonna say... if your hypertech could adjust shift points on your 03, it would be the only tuner to be able to do so. no offense to hypertech, but i just dont see that happening lol.

Maybe it dosent change shift points I heard it did with my friends and though I saw that somewhere. But the tranny did have 114,000 on it when it took a dump on me going down the road.

Are you making sure that OD is set to off and that you change to 2nd gear using the column change before flooring it in WOT?
If not, you've probably fell foul of the 2nd prime issue.
When doing a WOT run and kicking down into 2nd at say about 50-60, that's when 2nd prime typically grenades.
WOT runs with a 545RFE box, should always have 2nd selected manually to stay out of the 2nd prime problem.
