Overhead Console
Ok so the other day I was sitting at a redlight and I had my stereo up pretty loud and i felt something hit my leg and as I looked in the review mirror I see the sunglass holder of the overhead console is hanging down. I tried to put it back up but it turns out that thing that hit my leg was the plastic clip that holds the suglass holder up. My best guess is the occasional use of the sunglass holder and the vibrations from my speakers must have taken its toll on the plastic, same thing happened to the peice that is stuck to the window for the sliding back window. So now my sunglass holder will not go up. So I went to the dealer who informed me that part is no longer available and suggested I go to the junk yard. Well none of the junkyards around me have a dodge with this piece. WHAT DO I DO? Its not like I can't live with it broken but I mean its one of those things that is just annoying the heck out of me. Anyone want to sell me theirs or does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

duct tape?! lol
but seriously if you just want it up out of the way try some super glue or something. or if you dont want it up permanently take a strip of duct tape and roll it up sticky side out and put it inside the compartment and close it up.

Well I still would like to be able to use it and i am really not feeling duct tape lol, kinda would mess with the cleaness of the cab. but I was thinking maybe some way to use magnets or something
you might could take the console off and glue some magnets inside it and then some in the bottom of the little pocket for the sunglasses. that way when you push it up the magnets will hold it in place.

I'm thinking the magnets might be the way to go but I will still check the junkyard. I did think about fabing one out of metal but i dont know how well it would do. Atleast if I have to get a new one or take the one I have off for the magnets I can paint it to match the exterior and it might push me to do the rest of the accent painting I want to do in the cab lol.
