Default Tires/wheels size question for 05 1500 4x4

I have a quick, probably easy question that I am looking for an answer to.
I have a 2005 Ram 1500 with 20" rims 275/65r20 tires. I have a set of Maxxis mudders (265/70r17) that I am looking to put on the Ram. I have found rims that I am pretty sure will fit, but I would like some confirmation. They are off of a 2006 Ram they are 17x8 and 5 on 5.5.... #1- will the "mudders" I have fit on the 2006 rims
#2- will the rims fit on my 2005 Ram
#3- will the mudders on the 06' rims fit on my 2005 Ram without rubbing or any other problems?
Thanks ahead of time.....I look forward to hearing from all of you. Steph

#1. yes the "mudders" should fit on the 17x8 inch rims. i have the 17x8in (stock rims) on my 05 1500 and i had the same tires but(305/70r17) tires and they fit perfect on the rims.

#2. yes the rims should fit on the 05 ram. ive got 17x8 (stock rims) on my 05 ram.

#3. yes they should fit with out rubbing or anything. the width of the tires will make the front tires really close to the upper control arms but wont rub them. the only problem i can think of is that when you have those tires on when you turn the wheel all the way to either side the tires might rub that bar on the inside of the front fenders thats next to the frame and where the motor is. but its not a big deal. if it does it will barely rub and you probly wont (i didnt) even notice it while turning or hear or feel it. the only way i knew mine did that (if it was that set of tires) was i noticed the paint on the bar had been rubbed off a little.

i hope this helps out.
