lug nuts bulged
Was is the 6.2 or the 5.4 Hammer? The 5.4 Jeezus thats a slow motor. Anyways yeah I figured a 500hp truck would move out alot better then that but it sure didn't. I then drove a procharged RCSB SRT 10 putting out about 750 to the crank and it was pretty good but the trans was weak under that power and could was not easily shifted with haste but once that truck gets some boost its ok. I dunno just never been impressed with the SRT trucks.
Was the 5.4, this was right about the time the 6.2s started shipping and the guy was hot to make me a deal on the 5.4 figuring once dealers got the 6.2s they wouldn't be able to move the 5.4. I've heard the 6.2 ain't bad, but this dealership ain't even come close to having one on the lot yet to my knowledge.
He's forever bugging me to trade my truck on a Furd there. I almost pulled the trigger two years ago on a new diesel, but I did a little research on the 6.0 Powerjoke and walked. The guy loves to take Dodge trucks on trade, for some reason he can sell them at a lot higher price than used Furds, which is funny to me as my local Dodge dealership's general manager (also a guy I play golf with on occasion) swears just the opposite, that he can sell a used Furd for about $2k more than a Ram of equal type, mileage and year...

Haha thats funny that opposite dealers can sell different brands for more money. Weird how that works. Good call on the 6.0. My dad has one and It has been good to him only eating the first set of gaskets and bolts but it seems others are not nearly as lucky. It seems to do good in terms of mileage and maintenance and it to this day has never used a drop of oil which we find pretty amazing. Its funny our family was strictly a GM family but Dad got a King Ranch for his company truck, I bought a Jeep and later my Dodge ( which is odd because by no means I am not a mopar man its just been coincidence) and my sisters share an old half ton chevy and our family cruiser are a GMC Denali and a BMW M5. So I guess we can say we are a brand diverse family lol.
I've driven the SRT10, and I dunno how ANYBODY can call it a dog!
Got a golf buddy who is the sales manager at the local Ford dealership who let me test drive a Raptor. The thing looked absolutely awesome! Before I even got in it we were talking how much I could get for my truck in trade. I'm figuring it's the best of both worlds, basically if you took a Power Wagon and crossed it with an SRT10!
NOPE, the thing was a pig. Was not impressed with it at all. No low end whatsoever and I don't think the performance at mid or high rpms was even up to par with my '04 Hemi...

The 6.2 with 411 hp may be okay....but I just don't know about that Raptor thingy.....
I just don't like the looks of the furds....and they do not hold value. When I was first looking at trucks, I checked out lots of used ones. The chevs were the highest, the Rams second and the furds were at the bottom of the value scale...
Good deal that the dealer is going to replace your lugs. That is sweet.

Really it must be different down there. Both new and used Dodge is the least expensive especially used trucks where GM is most expensive and Ford follows closely. To the guy that said the Raptor just had flares actually no it has 4" wider fenders plus the flares 13 inches front travel 14 in the back, fox racing shocks, rear electric locker custom electronic tuning. Sorry to say but no ones nearly stock ram can compare. I mean they can take a few good bumps before the tires go through the fender wells and the shocks fade into oblivion but hey same thing right.
