I have done a lot of homework on towing skidsteers for the family company and my father has used his F-150 to pull the skidsteers when we rent them due to his capability of towing 10klbs and also because the f-150's have better trans gearing for pulling very heavy loads around town.

Just because your Ram did handle it good, doesn;t mean your not putting too much pressure on your drivetrain. Heat is killer when towing very heavy loads like that for both your tranny and rear diff. I wouldn't be towing that on a regular basis for 2 reasons. Safety concerns and mechanical concerns.

Def loaded correctly granted you have chain tie downs and also...looks darn good hooked to your rig!
I think you are pretty close on your weight numbers. The tranny did cross my mind when I was thinking of useing my pickup but I only had to pull it about 10 miles and I knew I would have to take it easy. As for the safety that didn't worry me. I have a brake controller, the load was tied down good, and I know every bump in the road I was on and that I had to take it easy.

After pulling this Im going to have to do some reading on a Tranny Temp guage. I don't pull more then the boat and are 18ft camper but would still be nice to know what the temp is to be on the safe side.

Should say somewhere on the axle housing, if it is gone like it was on my truck, I just called my local dealership with my serial number and they told me within 1 minute.

Well I finally got to looking around on the truck to see if I can find what gears I have and I can't find anything saying what is in my truck. Might have to call the dealer and see if they can pull the vin and tell me. (really would like to know).

Was able to keep my speed at 65 at around 2100 RPMs. Just got to say I'm glad I went with the hemi. Not sure I would have wanted to pull this with the ford, lol.

I towed a skid steer very simular to that one. But it was a rental and came on the dealers all steel trailer. I asked the rental dealer how much it weighed and he said just shy of 11,000 pounds. I was very impressed with how well my truck pulled the load to. I had to tow it about 25 miles each way.
