Passenger Side Parking Light Question
Hello hello,
A few months ago my brother noticed that my passenger parking lights not working. So I went and got new bulbs, as i'm replacing the bulbs I see that the bulbs are not blown. I replaced them anyways. Of course, still not working.
So this is what i've done: Didn't have muti-meter - initial troubleshooting
1. Check all fuses - GOOD
2. Took passenger side lights out and plugged into drive side - TESTED GOOD
3. Finally got multi-meter from friend to test, found hot wire on passenger side not supplying any juice. No 12v.
4. Tried tracing the wire (black with yellow stripe) and found where it connects to the license plate light and goes to the front. Tested wire from that junction and still no juice.
5. Trace as far as i could and still no power.
6. Temporary fix (this is the question i have to ask) tapped into the 12v line from the driver side to the passenger side.
Everything is working as it should, but should i be worried about current draw on that size(14guage maybe?) wire? I'm thinking it should be ok since it's low power draw, but i'm not sure. I may have to leave it like this for a while and didn't know if the wire may burn out for pulling too much power or may pop a fuse?
thanks in advance.
