Default crusie control

Tryed the search but did'nt help me. I used my crusie this morning worked no problem. After I left school I tryed useing it and it lights up cruise on the cluster but will not work. If anybody can help me that would be great.
It is a 2004 1500 qc.

Do the key cycle to check for codes.

When mine did this it was the ABS sensor that got over heated or dirty due to my brakes being worn down. Had the brakes done and everything went away.

Also could be the speed sensor on the top of the rear diff.

When mine had this problem a few years back it would also want to die when coming to a stop, the idle would drop real low and stall on me.

It works now. I just wiggled the relays and now it works. So hopefully it was just a poor connection. Anybody else have simaller problems.

My cruise control goes out on me when I reach 55 mph or higher. Does anyone know how to fix that problem.

if the diff sensor goes out your speedometer will stop working as well

My speedometer is working so I don't think that is it then. Any other ideas?
