Default newest mod and should be good

well after getting a lead on a killer deal on some 6" dick cepek lights , a month or so of use they are rusting . Price was to good to be true but they are bright but are crappy made .

So i took the 3 off and sent them to the shop they are getting color matched white to match the truck . I think this will look ok since they are on a chrome light guard and on a white truck . in my sig pic you can see the lights . just think of them as white , what ya think . ya or nah .

I thought the Cepeks were stainless? You buy knock-offs? i did see Cepeks on egay that were posing as cepeks with Chinese writing all over the box...lol

Nice deal with paint to match. i like that, but I think hammer may be a little dissapointed in this result with the lights rusting. Didn't he get the same one's?

i think the color matched tow mirrors may cause issue's. Don't you think there will be rubbing on the paint when opening/closing them?

Actually they had stainless and chrome ones for the same price, I opted for the stainless ones.
No sign of rust on mine yet, but the hardware is a little cheazy. I got a heads up from a buddy with Hella 1900s (same light as are the KC Daylighters) about making sure the square on the bolt head is lined up perfectly or you'll strip it out! I think OE had that problem?
But I agree, the Cepek/Hella 1900/KC Daylighter's are not of the highest quality. Good deal for $44 a pair, but if I'da paid the $110 EACH retail, I'da been pissed!!!

RH, your bullbar on the old truck rusted out quick too, didn't it? You should have your water checked, seriously. I had a hell of a problem with my house in Georgia where all my sh*t was rusting and turned out my water had a VERY high mineral content. Pipes, fixtures inside the house, bumpers and wheels on vehicles, you name it! Put in a metal particle filter and it fixed the problem and you wouldn't believe how much that filter took in, it was NASTY every month when I changed it...

hey, you bought the same day as I did, and OE too. They looked like a smokin' deal. As it was, I still think they were a good deal, they are bright as hell! And I beg to differ, I'm 2 miles from the ocean, I got salt ALL YEAR like you only have in the winter.
I think if you spec'd the stainless ones you might have made out a little better.

But I think they'll look REAL good in white, I was gonna take my Hellas apart and paint the black plastic red before I happened on these.

What the hell bulb you gonna upgrade to? They are 130 watts now!!!
