Default check engine light

New to the board and ive been having some problems with my 2006 dodge slt with 5.7l. The problem started a month ago when the truck started stalling and the throttle wouldnt accelerate. All steering and brakes were working however the lightning bolt came on and the check engine light. I turned the truck off and restarted it and all lights went off except check engine light. The check engine light after a couple days turned off on it's own. Then yesterday i was driving it and the check engine light came back on, but the truck ran fine. I ran the code reader on it and it only pulled one code: The oil sending sensor/switch it bad. Do you guys think this could be my problem? thanks guys

Yep, and probably why the lightning bolt came on before. Have you been watching your oil pressure?

Could be as simple as sludge build up. A relatively easy and cheap fix if caught early, but could lead to a blown engine if let go. The 4.7s are known for it, but not completely uncommon in the Hemi either, especially if a conventional oil is used and normal driving tends to be of the short trip nature, where enough temp is not built up to burn it off...

do a nice oil change and put some seafoam in it like 10 miles before the change, Should help to break up any crap building up in there. Also count how much oil actually comes out to see if you're loosing or burnt any.
