600 for a pan install and paint is probably a little above average. What I have found interesting is that the better work came from the shop with the lower prices. The first shop which came highly recommended did a lousy job. I searched for a new shop and was really surprised at how igornant the few shops i stopped at were. Finally found a Hot Rod shop and asked who did their paint. As soon as I spoke to the body guy I knew I was in the right place. These guys are true gearheads. The more different the car the more love they showed. We worked several days from 10 in the morning until past midnight filling , painting and lots and lots of buffing. They absolutely would not quit until everything was right. Be careful who you choose to touch your ride..Originally Posted by OklaHemi
How much to have it all painted up? I was quoted 600 for it all

if i could take my vote back it would go to the one who really goes out and gets the vote and does everything to win .
that shows how much they want it .
I posted pics most days of the competition up until yesterday and today. And I wish I could post more but I moved this weekend and do not have an internet connection at the new place yet. I'm having to follow along on my Blackberry. I was planning to take some pics with the RV hooked up and post them but the move had other ideas. A tire blew out/separated on the RV on I-4 doing about 70mph which delayed me about 3-1/2 hours. It tore the fender completely off the RV and put some pretty good dents in it, along with the usual black marks all over the side of it.Originally Posted by ramhunter9

I'm not giving up just bad timing. I guess maybe I should've thought about the move when I accepted the nomination but I was so excited about it and didn't want to turn it down.
Hey, how about a truck tug-o-war to decide this thing? LOL!

The plan for Monday is to install the A/F kit. I need the o2 bung welded in. Hopefully I can get this done in the morning and be done with it. I like the simplicity of the AeroForce Inceptor gauge and it's data logging capability.

^^^ im assuming you were only going for 0-60 then backed out of it, because the 1/8 and the 1/4 times and speeds are straight up pathetic lol. Im looking forward to installing my AI.

Actually the quality of the roll pans now are such that fitting is no where near as difficult to what they were in the past. My first roll pan was hand made as it was for most other mods. Just do a pre-fit before painting and it'll come out looking great. We even have a couple 4wd here with roll pans which IMO look especially good. Post pictures of the step doing the install would be helpful for others interested in RP'sOriginally Posted by Desert_Ram
