Just wondering if you would get more tq or responce with the hat vs the MIT...because with the hat,it has more air volume when u punch it vs the tube......I dont remember what it was like with the hat...I have my cortex too and the only big difference is the MDS doesnt kick in,no real big power boost that I can see... I sware I have the only truck that doesnt respond or spin tire...

 

Torque will be the same, but the MIT will move t up the rpm band slightly. HP will be higher with he MIT due to increased airflow.

 

i replaced my hat with an airaid jr tube, you can feel and hear the difference.

 

My experience with it agrees with what froggy is saying. I felt more top end than low end when I put my MIT in.

If you want tire spinning, reset the PCM, then drive her like you stole her for a couple days. She'll reprogram for aggressive driving.
