Default Transmission Problem - Help please!

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 Quad Cab, and I am having problems with my transmission. When I am at a stop or something the RPM's go up and down and sounds like its going to stall out but does not. Also sometimes when I first get into the truck, and start to pull out it does not want to go it just slowly moves and I can put the peddle to the floor and it won't go and then all of a sudden it takes off. I'm getting it checked out thursday but if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.

The most common issues with these transmissions are the torque converters going bad, and the manifold blocks either coming loose or cracking. Yours sounds more like torque converter.
