Last I checked, this was America still and I still have a right to voice my opinion.

I saw your pics, but it still doesn't change the fact that they use crossmembers instead of a boxed sub-frame, don't give the rated amount of lift and others besides you have had CV joints break running this kit.

These were things I read in reviews five years ago when I was researching the hell out of kits before I bought and based on what I'm reading in posts from owners of this kit I'd say that the reviews way back then were fairly accurate.

I would also have a hard time buying a kit made by a company that is operating under bankruptcy protection.

Now it's not a terrible kit by any means and it ain't like it's falling apart on the road and getting guys killed but it is about the least expensive on the market, and you have to admit there are better 6" kits out there.

I'm not trying to knock your kit, hell you've made posts yourself that you weren't happy with it, but at the same time, I think people with the means to buy a better built kit should at least look at them.

If it was all I could afford and it was the Fabtech or a body lift, I'd go Fabtech but if I could swing a Skyjacker or KORE or RCD I would in a heartbeat...

I am on the fence about even going with a lift-Kit as I don't venture off road. If I do I will go with the RCD Kit with Bilstein shocks and a Fabtech Long Leaf AAL thrown in since the Skyjacker with softride set-up is just too much shipping cost to Canada.
The Dealer did say though that the Fabtech was tough but customers where not always happy with the look. Whatever I do will be dependant on my gear choice as I may do that mod first. So thanks for the tire size guaging Hammer and I know you have said it more than once. If no lift kit I will go 33's max with 410's as I will built with HWY cruising in mind, but w/6" lift I will go 35's which means 456's, so for OP yes go Big Gears for 35's especially if your gonna use it off road.

I have a 03 5.7 4x2 truck. I want to hit some simple trails for hunting. I plan on sticking with the stock size tires. But want some help on the off road situation. Should i get 4:10 or 4:56. Which will make my truck faster on the Street. Oh and I plan on getting the detroit diff.

Man, the crowd in here is getting rough.

IMO on a tuner and with you having an 05 5.7, go with DSP. Both DSP and SC give PCM and TCM support for the 05 5.7 but the DSP can be used later for custom tuning if you ever want to do that. SC cannot do custom tuning.

I am running a lift with 35X12.50's on the factory 20, Hammer talked me into the 4.56 when i was thinking the 4.10. I love them, i dont have the hemi power with my 360 so it was almost like my truck said "thank you" when i took if for the initial test drive with the new ratio

i have 3.92 gears right now. How much would bumpin up to 4.10's cost me? and what all do I have to get to make the swap?

If it was not for the track i would put in my 4.88's gears, even though i am only running 275/55/17's

Dodgeman,
My thought is that it is not cost effective to change from 3:92 to 4:10. I would go to 4:56.

Maori,
I haven't heard anyone speak of "88"s in a long time.

I'm running 4:10's with 30.5" tires and wish I had not allowed myself be talked out of the 4:56 I had originally planned for.
Now turning 2000 rpm at 65 mph.

Unless you got deep pockets and just want to go to 4.10s, IMO it's not cost effective to go from 3.92s to 4.10s, you'll get a little better performance, but not enough to justify the cost. Stay where you are or do 4.56s...
