A/C Blower Motor Switch
Hello all, I'm new here- hoping I can find some luck in getting my truck problems figured out.
The a/c blower wouldn't work when I bought the truck. The dealer told me it was the blower motor resistor, so I changed it. Still didn't work.
I did some more research and jumped the blower motor directly to the battery and the motor works fine. So I got out my multimeter and found the problem was with my fan switch in the dash.
I replaced that and it worked great! For the rest of that day.
The next morning, I got in the truck and it was like the stupid thing never worked. Now the NEW (reman) fan switch is not working.
Is there something that would cause the fan switch to continually go bad? Maybe a short or something?
By the way, the fan does not work in any of the 4 speeds. I am tempted to just hard wire the blower to the battery and rig up a switch under the dash. I've already got over $100 in it and it's still broken.
But if there is something I am missing, please let me know.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
