Question magnaflow vs. flowmaster

i own a 2008 dodge ram big horn with a 5.7l engine, 2wd. just wondering which muffler sounds better with the hemi on a dodge. the magnaflow or the flowmasters? i understand that the flowmaster outlasts the magnaflow by years but magnaflow sounds alot better and louder, just wanting some suggestions here please

First, welcome to DF. Do a search and you will find a lot to read on exhausts here. I also think you have the mufflers backwards. The Magnaflow will outlast the flowmaster. I would not get a flowmaster, and I have one.

MAGNAFLOW!!!!!!

I have true dual magnaflows on my 2005 Ram with the Hemi and they sound awesome!!! There is a TON of loud trucks around my town but none are as deep as mine. Flowmasters just don`t have that deep tone that makes a magnaflow sound so good IMO

I have magnaflow and I love it. Other good ones are cherry bomb, dynomax, and AT. People have told me they've lost power from flowmaster because it's design makes it too restrictive. Also they will rust a lot unless you get the SS ones.

Between those two, magnaflow. You'll probably be hard pressed to find someone that knows that they're talking about try to to sway you to flowmaster. Its just overall not a good muffler for performance or longevity

Magnaflow are a way better muffler. I'm like glass3222, i found out the hard way. I have a 40 series SI/DO flowmaster and will be swapping as soon as i find a good deal on a mag..

I changed from FM50 to Magnaflow last week. To be fair the FM was still in good condition after 6 years of use, but the tail pipes were gone. Installed the Mag and IMO have a really nice sound and picked up performance. Will take a beating on gas mileage until I stop ripping around. lol.....

I've had them both and the magnaflow is the way to go. My FM rusted out real fast and droned too much for my liking.
