Inner and outer CV drive shafts on a Ram 1500.
Anyone know if the inner CV shaft closest to the front axle, has a snap ring/circlip holding the shaft in place?
If so, how do you get the shaft off the axle? Is it just a matter of prying it off?
I know that the outer CV shaft where it goes into the front hub, is fixed in place by one.
Also, does the end where the inner CV shaft locate have to be replaced as well when you replace the drive shaft?

Yes, there is a circlip holding it in place, it just has to be pried off, it can be a PITA but that's the only way to do it. You just need to replace the circlip and install the shaft firmly to make sure it seats properly.
