Ok, just making sure I'm not going to be loosening a nut that is holding two things together resulting in something falling on me LOL. I'll have to give this a shot soon, thanks for the help everyone!

I think it is fascinating what some guys do, and don't do. Case in point- in my opinion, oil changes every 3,000 miiles is a waste of money unless you drive on dirt roads all day long, and every 3 months regardless of mileage is a freakin' joke. Why people are misled into thinking that oil goes bad sitting in a motor in three month's time is beyond me. I changed my oil every 5,000 miles until I hit 70K and the powertrain warranty expired; now I change it at 10K. Call me crazy, but I have been running with Mobil 1 and high-end filters since 1990 and have put some serious mileage on many a truck and have never had an oil-related issue or discovered a bit of sludge in my engines. Synthetic oil is made to last- stop pouring good money down the recycle drain.

Yet....spark plugs at 100K? Nope, no way, uh-uh. I don't care if the engine's still running good and the mpg's fine. Plugs in a block for that many miles is asking for a seized plug. Plugs are cheap. A new set every 30K-40K is safe insurance.

As far as changing the lube in the diff? Unless I have a boat and the rear end gets submerged, I stopped touching them. I've changed 90W with over 100K on it that came out as good as the day it was put in.
