Default Trouble with my 2003 starting

Hey everyone I'm pretty new to this site and just recently purchased a 2003 Dodge Ram with the 5.7L Hemi. I guess I'm not really sure why it would do this but sometimes it struggles to start. It will turn over and just act like it's not gonna start and if I give it a little gas it will usually finally start. The check engine light just came on and I was wondering if any of you would have an idea of where I should start looking. It always starts perfect every morning and after its set for more than 5 or 6 hours. But If I drive it then shut it off and try to start it any time sooner than this it just doesn't start the same. I haven't owned a truck like this before and maybe this is just how some trucks are but I really would like to know what may be wrong if there is something wrong.

Thanks

Have you had the Fuel Pressure checked? Dealership or shop must do with a gauge.

That is probably my next step. I think it may have to be the fuel pressure
