Default Successfull removed pita retaining clips!

Got my 02 QC 2WD about 2 months ago and finally got a chance to change gear lube and check for the clips in the stock LSD. Glad I did because I found 2 of the "W"s stuck to the magnet from the clips. It ended up taking about 2 hrs and alot of cussin but they're all out (read some of the earlier posts with pics so I knew where they would be). The ones on the drivers side were alittle easier because there was alittle more space to take them out from the outside. After I busted off the w on the other side of the clip I pryed it out with a large screwdriver and some needlenose pliers. I had to use a small magnet at times when the clip dissappeared back inside to pull it back out alittle. There is even less room to get the other side out, so after I broke off both w's with screwdriver and hammer, I carefully used my pneumatic cutoff tool to score the clips so they could be broken with small chisel and taken out piece by piece. I know everyone hated stock LSD but it will have to last for now and hopefully it has a better chance now that all 4 clips are out.

I was wondering how to take 'em out when they're intact (all mine were when I looked at fluid-change time). I half-heartedly poked at 'em but didn't want to break the intact clips and then not be able to finish, so I just put on the PML pan and finished the job.

If mine were intact I probally would've left them alone too but 2 were broke and got me kinda nervous. Even though alot of people had them break I was still surprised to see them in the bottom with only 68,000 on it.
