i went with a suspension maxx on my 2004 with torsion keys. good quality.. and its up to you if you want an alignment, its recommended but i went a year with out an aligment cause i was running 35" 12.5 pro comps-- didnt have much tread wear but if your putting tires on there you care its recommended... Also with out an alignment, it will put extra stress on your ball joints-

No torsion bars on 06+.
Most guys have gone with spacers, but now Rancho has Quicklift struts and Bilstein has 5100Series lift struts. The Bilsteins go for $200-250 while the Rancho's are going for $325-375. They lift your front 0-2", are adjustable(choose height before installing) AND are a new better shock all in one. They are better for your upper balljoints and unike spacers that limit shock travel, these will give you full motion.
An alignment is most def needed. Even if you were to open up your front suspension and put it right back together with the stock parts, your alignment will be off. Raising or lowering your suspension alters the geometry of every aspect of the wheel alignment. Here in NY, shops are getting almost $100 for an alignment for just the front end! Ridiculous.

+1 on the Bilstein 5100 series. Adjustable lift heights, better for the suspension of the truck, improved shock ride, look better, and I haven't heard anyone complain about the level kit problems spacers some times have.

Spacers are a cheap soultion.
Figure this:
spacers = $80 and another $80 for alignment granted you do the install.....$160ish total.
Bilsteins liftstruts = $240ish + alignment = $320
So it's double for the Bilsteins.

All I will suggest to you is if the spacers are what you decide to choose. Go with 2" lift spacers. Going 2.5" puts alot more stress and reduces articulation on the upper balljoints. The problems that are going around with spacers are only the 2.5" guys and those one's have had issue's with 4wd vibrations.
I have been wanting the Bilsteins for a while now and I will hold out for them until I get my pennies saved.

I have a 2.0" BDS leveling kit on mine as Dirtydog said stay with the 2.0". The 2.5" causes a vibration in 4x high. Personally I would have gone with the Bilsteins had I known about them, 2.0" lift and better ride all in one. Regardless of what you do when you level it, align it.
