i love the tone of my truck but i want it a little louder... i have a 40 series flowmaster and when i get over about 2000 RPMs it kinda sounds like it get quieter. i would like to know what you guys think... should i just keep what i got, remove the resonator, get a cherry bomb extreme, straight pipe or what?????

 

Cut the resonator and change the muffler. Ive had a Flowmaster once on mine but now have Magnaflows and love them.

Lose the flowmaster and get a magnaflow. After having a FM 50HD and FM Super 40, I have realized that you can't beat the tone of a magnaflow muffler.

 

I totally agree with the above statements. Been there done that, lose the FM.

 

so will the magnaflow be a little louder.... i like the FM but its just not loud enough at high rpms for me....

 

get a 14" magnaflow and it should be louder than your flowmaster, and yes loose the resonator, i had a 40 series flowmaster and switched to a 18" magnaflow and it not quite as loud but a 14" should do you fine, the shorter the louder
