Default Can you put Sirius Radio into a stock 08 Ram Stereo?

I tried to find out using the search but was unsuccessful. Has anyone installed Sirius radio into their stock stereo? I want to do so but am not sure if it is compatible. I have an 08 Ram SLT with the non-infinity system, just the basic, 4 speaker system with the stock stereo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the infinity system in my 07...its comes with the 6 disk changer. NOW I know that some stock systems not including the infinity system do have Sirius built in. The easiest way to check is to look on the roof of your truck. If it has an antenna just in front of the 3rd brake light, it will have sirius in it. If it doesn't, then your are out of luck.

If it does its pretty easy to activate it, there are certain keys you have to push to get your SIN number off the deck (im not sure what they are but its easy to find out) Then just activate a sirius subscription using that sin number and your set! You wont be able change tracks or anything like that, like say a sportster does, and you might not be able to get the "NEW" channels. But you would not have to buy a new receiver...

MY '08 with the 4-speaker basic stereo had 1 yr of Sirius when i bought it so I assumed all Rams in '08 had it. i keep getting calls to renew...too bad I aint got the stock HU no more.
I would call up Sirius and I believe you can give them your VIN # to see if your truck has been registered already which means you would have it already and can simply "renew membership"
This is the number right off my window sticker under standard options of my SLT

I think you would have to start your own membership...Cause then the previous owner would still be getting billed for something he/she does not have. Which i would assume they would not. So that subscription would be canceled. You would have to start your own. Which is not that hard to do at all, still costs the same
