i ended up just buying 15 grade 8 stainless bolts to replace the stock ones. they are WAY too soft, and the heads will snap off on the drop of a dime. it was only like $3 to do that at napa.
and if you want, while you have the pan off, you could install a drain plug. that way, it will be much easier the next time you go to service it. on my old pan i used a bolt in bung and some rtv, worked great.

I am with OlDirtyJohn on this one. I also replaced all my trans pan bolts as it was a cheap upgrade and I didnt want to deal with the old bolts and the heads snapping off. I also second adding a trans pan drain bolt. I bought my trans filter kit from Autozone a long time ago but I think it was about 25-30 and I replaced ALL the fluid in my trans with RP at about $11 a qrt. But that was my choice although not needed.
