Default Blower Problem?Need Help.

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram. My blower shut off while driving. I have checked the fuses and relay. All look good. Took off the blower and hooked up to battery and blower works fine. I'm not getting any power to the blower. Don't have any fan speeds at all.Any suggestions?

You can use a test light on the blower motor plug if it's still out. See if you are getting power at the blower plug. That's where I would start.
If you aren't getting power, you may want to check your blower resistor and then check your control **** wiring and make sure it isn't loose. Also make sure the connection at the fuse is solid.
You could have a number of problems here:
bad blower resistor
Bad control assembly
shorted wire
not enough current due to loose connection
not enough voltage

Using a multimeter to read the voltage is only part of it. There can be 12v at the connector plug, but zero current. That is why a test light is needed. You can fab up one yourself if your handy. A dome light out of an import vehicle will usually draw a descent amount of curent.

Try moving your tilt steering column up and down. Mine does this and moving thr column makes the blower fan work again.

Default Blower Problem?

Thanks DirtyDog for the info. I have no power at the Blower plug and no power at the control ****. Do you know where the blower resistor is located and what it looks like on my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500? I appreciate all the info. Thanks.

The resistor is located behind the glove box

the resistor looks like a flat plug .. there might be 2 or 3 of them in there.. Sort of looks like a video card in your computer a plug with a bunch of pins sticking out of it..

Default 2005 1500 ram blower problems

My 05' 1500 ram blower will work for a few days then go off. Right now off and not coming back on. All fuses and connections look good.
Any ideas?
Thanks
