Default Exhaust Info Need Advice

Whats up,

So I am looking into the magnaflow, j/w what the deal is with performance/sound/etc if I were to do catback package deal, or as a cheaper option just replace the stock muffler with a magnaflow, and either get new exhaust piping or reuse the stock. I don't know how restrictive the stock exhaust is and what the best bet would be, if I go with the catback I will probably wait a little and if just replacing the factory muffler is easy and worth it then I can do that now. Just want some advice, most of the posts on exhausts didn't see anything on this.

Jon

Hey, how's it going?! Good question, one I went through about a year and a half ago on my '08. I put in a magnaflow muffler and while I had a grumble... I was irritated that it wasn't quite angry enough. SSSSSooo... to my buddies shop I went. We debated a whole catback system, or simply tweeking a little. We ended up cutting the resonator out and piping the exhause out in front of the rear right wheel. The only problem I ran into, is that the tip has gotten nasty as it was only single walled. Otherwise, it's just what I was looking for, and sounds just as good as other Magnaflow kits people spend 600 bucks on.

Hope it helps. I'll try to grab an audio/video clip sometime here. PM me if you're interested.

Ciao

The first exh setup i did was to go to a catback with a Flowmaster Delta 40 (SIDO) and lose the resonator. I bought my own muffler and tips from ebay and let a guy weld it all up for me for 150
