data logger
I like the Innovate LC-1 (wideband) the best because it is cheap and you can add modules to it like the Innovate OT-1 to do more datalogging. I like them because they are cheaper than Wideband Commander and Zeitronix and do more in term of logging.
Dont understand what you mean by the standalone part. I know what you are asking but IDK which piece or equipment you are asking to be the stand alone so I will try to answer it two ways
The Diablo Trinity is a standalone tuner capable of both canned tunes, custom tunes and datalogging. It also has a 2.5mm plug port where you can use a 2.5mm stereo connector and monitor 2 analog external devices, such as the Innovate LC-1
The Innovate LC-1 can be a stand alone device. It can be used with an Innovate DB gauge for a digital output or you can have no gauge and connect it to a laptop and record your AFR that way.
However, when logging AFR you need to also compare it against RPM. The Innovate LC-1 only records AFR v/s Time and not AFR v/s RPM. The Innovate OT-1 or OT-2 can record RPM as well as other parameters.
So you could use an Innovate LC-1 and OT-1 which will cover all your logging but you still need a tuner to tune.
But being the Trinity has those analog inputs, you can take the Innovate LC-1 and connect it with the 2.5mm stereo cable and plug it into the Trinity, then configure the Trinity for the analog input and have AFR logging included with the PIDs and Trinity is set to log.
That keeps all yous numbers in ONE log and simplifies things.
Hope this answers everything.
